The build up!

So are we ready? Of course not! But having said that, we are more organised for this holiday than we ever have been for any holidays before, which to be honest isn't saying an awful lot. We still have three 'sleeps' to go before take off,

So what are we most looking forward to:

Joshua: Going fishing! (editor's comment - but we can do that down the road!)

Samuel: Playing on mummy's DS (editor's comment - is it too late to cancel the whole holiday?)

Rachel: Having a once a lifetime experience and celebrating my birthday on top of the Empire State Building

Johnny: Seeing Montana and visiting the space rockets.

Hopefully this holiday will be something we will look back on for a long time as a family building experience.

The build up has included all the normal end of term activities including the performance of the year of 'The Lion King'. Although my boys were both in it, which obviously makes me biased, I am a seasoned critic of school performances but I still say it was excellent. The costumes were absolutely brilliant, and how Joshua remembered all his words and coped with his huge Hornbill hat on top of his head for the whole performance (One and a half hours) I'm not sure!
If the technology allows there should be some photos here! Joshua is Zazu (Hornbill) and Sam is a baby elephant.

Anyway - there's packing to be done and work to be finished off before Friday so I'll sign off for now.
I'm hoping that we'll keep this blog roughly up to date during our travels so that you'll be able to see some of the things we've been up to.
Bye for now,
Rachel
