Bit of a different pace today as we decided to have a lie in and go to Epcot (another Disney park standing for 'Experimental Prototype Community of Tomorrow') for a late afternoon / evening. This gave us time for a swim in the pool (Sam has been desperate for one!), a trip to Wal-Mart for the essentials in life and lunch out.

As we wander around in Florida we have noticed the 'larger' size of people. Mma Ramotswe would describe them as 'traditionally built' in Africa. Johnny finds this comforting but I'm worried that if we spend too long here we'll all end up a size or too larger. All the restaurants here seem to do breakfast, lunch and dinner 'buffets'. The boys thought this was great yesterday. Sam came back to the table with a mixture of mashed potato, spaghetti, egg, grated carrot and tomatoes!
By the time we got to Epcot Johnny was 'twitching' - this is a family term normally used to describe me when I don't feel we've been anywhere or done anything yet and we're 'wasting' the day. It's unusual for Johnny to experience this, but perhaps today it had got something to do with his interest in the attractions at Epcot. We managed to have a go on Mission SPACE (twice!), Spaceship Earth (are you seeing a trend here?), Test Track, The Seas With Nemo and Friends, Turtle Talk With Crush and Gran Fiesta Tour Starring The Three Caballeros.

Epcot is divided into two halves, Future World and World showcase. The World Showcase is a series of pavilions around the huge lake, each featuring a glimpse of a different country. The Mexico one, where we went on the Gran Fiesta was really impressive. Disney's attention to detail in all the parks is staggering.
The thing I enjoyed most at the park was at the end of 'IllumiNations:Reflections of Earth', a finale with lasers, music and fireworks (and fantastic as expected) we wandered round the different country pavilions while the rest of the crowds were all making for the exit and it was really peaceful. This of course was as recommended by 'TourGuide Mike' who feels like a personal friend now. (When Sam asked me what we were going on first as we arrived in the park, he said 'Well what does Mike say?')
We got a little bit lost on the way back home. All the roads are at least dual carriage way and a lot of them look the same. I haven't fallen in love with Florida yet, although it's obviously a fantastic place for a holiday. I don't think I could live here, whereas I could easily do 6 months to 3 years living in New York (should anyone ever ask me!)
I'm starting to lose track of days here. It feels like we've been away for ages and looking at the photos of New York feels like a different holiday already. No doubt back in England nobody notices we've left!
