Orlando

Well, another leg of the journey completed, and at last we're typing on a proper keyboard rather than into a mobile phone (sorry for any typos or spilling mistookes(!) on previous posts, we've no excuse now).

We felt very brave getting the train this morning, instead of getting a taxi as recommended by reception at the hotel, another form of transport to add to our collection. It all went swimmingly well and we arrived in Newark airport in plenty of time. The plane was three hours delayed but we were happy enough amusing ourselves at the airport. The flight itself went well, we even managed to persuade Joshua and Sam to have a sleep (Johnny joined in to keep them company!).

After picking up the car (why does it always take so long to pick up a car!) I tackled driving an automatic on the wrong side of the road (only wrong for my British ways, not wrong for over here). Johnny navigated admirably and we soon found ourselves outside our palace. Once we'd tackled locks and alarms we entered in to a form of heaven.

We have all been completely 'wowed' by the villa. It's huge! The shower in our en suite is bigger than our whole bedroom at home. There's two spare bedrooms, the games room has pool, air hockey, darts, table football and three bikes. The swimming pool looks fantastic and the kitchen has an 'island' (I'd love to have a kitchen big enough to have an 'island'). While I made a quick tea the boys watched some TV in their bedroom and it was the furthest they'd been away from us in five days!

The only downside of Orlando so far, as well as the garishness of lights etc. at the road side, is that I got bitten on the ankle in the time it took to get from the car into the villa. It's not boding well for my skin.

Well, I have to sign off now. We've signed up for internet information on the best way to tour Disney World and 'Tour Guide Mike' says we have to be there absurdly early.

Wish you were all here too (there's certainly space for most of you!)

So good to hear from you all. Looks and sounds like you are having a grand time with the Disney 'machine'... We just got back from Jackson, Wyoming from visiting Scott. he's been working there most of the summer, but he will be home here in Stevensville the 7th thru the 10th...
Can't wait to see you! The girls have been my minions lately, getting the house in order for special company...
Safe travels to you all.
love,
