Smarter than the average bear

Another attack at Yelowstone today, we've found a few Disney improvements that could be made. For example we can't understand why we didn't enter the park to be greated by waving Park Rangers. OK they were smiling but they weren't singing or waving.

We saw a great set of burbling mud and other extraordinary alien looking landscapes. I feel pretty sure Disney would have added a story line and ended our visit with an alien greeting us. And don't get me going on the reaction we got when we asked one of the bison to pose with us for a photo and sign the boys autograph books.

At least they had a good system telling you rough queueing times for old faithfull, this gave us a chance to have a sandwich sitting on a nearby log and use up the camera batteries on distance shots before the real thing.

Old Faithful (the worlds most famous geyser, goes off every 90 minutes give or take currently) toyed with us playfully by haveng a little gush at the set time and making us think WAS THAT IT! But then we got the whole impressive display. But strangely no attempt to project Yoggie Bear onto it. In fact there has not been the slightest hint of Yoggie merchandise.

Speaking of gushing, I have had complaints from er indoors, that I ahve not said enough of the actual wonders of Yellowstone. As well as focusing on the headline attractions we have paused here and there for the view, baffling the boys, and it is truly wonderful, but if I was able to truly put this into words I would be a professional poet and this blog would just be an advert for my book.
